What is speech-language therapy?
Speech-language therapy is an established, allied health treatment that supports the development and rehabilitation of a person’s overall communication, including their speech, understanding and use of language, social skills, feeding and swallowing abilities, cognition, memory and executive functioning skills provided by a certified masters-level speech-language pathologist.
How does it work at Launch Academy?
Speech-language pathologists at Launch Academy develop individualized treatment plans to target each student's specific area of difficulty within a group setting. They do this by teaching large group lessons, leading small group therapy, and providing support during academic instruction and unstructured play times. Our therapists utilize a variety of evidence-based interventions to address student's underlying speech and language needs to support life-long learning and communication skills.
